Tabacco: I have published my personal incident about Earl Segure, if not here then at Blog-City. Because I denigrated the Bible and Religion in general, Earl felt comfortable in confiding to me that he was an Atheist.
I have no problem with Atheists. But, just as I would with Christians, Jews and Muslims, I want explanations as to why they believe what they believe. Jews and Christians quote from the Old and New Testaments respectively. Neither has much use for that other Testament. And Muslims of course are dedicated to the Quran text. Since I have never even seen a Quran, I say as little on the matter as possible. It is extremely uninformative when someone denigrates anything about which he knows absolutely nothing. Hearsay Propaganda is an extremely poor Source!
I do NOT require Atheists to explain why they are NOT CHRISTIANS. I don’t consider myself a Christian anymore. Unlike Einstein, who still considered himself a Jew despite his qualms about their religion, Tabacco has little affinity for Christians of the Caucasian variety because of at least 500-years of Slavery, Segregation, Profiling, Redlining, Disenfranchisement, Denigration and Executions (both Legal & Illegal).
But I do expect honest logic as to why they don’t believe in God. I might learn something from Atheists. Mr. Segure informed me that he had no respect for the Bible as Fact, nor did he believe in God. When I asked, “Why?”, he replied that the Bible was basically trash and therefore there was no God.
I set up a hypothetical scenario in which I had published a biography of the Segure family and got the important facts all wrong. Then I demanded of Earl, “Would that prove
A) The Segure family did NOT EXIST, or
B) I was a bad writer!”
Of course, Earl being an intelligent guy, he realized his LOGICAL FALLACY, but the wound to his Ego made that the last friendly conversation we ever had.
In one of my anti-Religion Posts at Blog-City, I invited Atheists to respond with explanations. One Atheist did reply, but his response only denigrated the Bible. I was in accord with that point, however I DO BELIEVE IN GOD, just not in the Bible. When I published the Atheist’s comment and my own reply, similar to my retort to Mr. Segure, and requested other logic because that Bible being “full of it” was not sufficient to disprove God, the Atheist never again commented.
I suspect ALL Atheists use the same ILLOGICAL RATIONALE for their Atheism. If it was a LOGICAL FALLACY for Earl Segure, then it’s a LOGICAL FALLACY for anybody else. I don’t claim that I can “PROVE” the EXISTENCE OF GOD; but I do require the Rationale for Atheism!
Since we agree on the Bible’s NON-RELEVANCE, please reply with whatever else convinces you that God does NOT EXIST! Even if you fail, if you give it an honest try, I will publish your Argument.
After all, those Militarist Genocidal Maniacs, who start WARS are mostly CHRISTIANS, JEWS & MUSLIMS, NOT ATHEISTS! And I would rather we had MORE ATHEISTS and FEWER God-Fearing Militarist Genocidal Maniacs!
Besides, I don’t believe the True God cares about whether or not certain individuals believe in Him or not. It’s how they treat other individuals that counts, not their bowing and scraping to Him! If Atheists are WRONG, when they find out the TRUTH, they will definitely be embarrassed, but I don’t believe FIRE & BRIMSTONE awaits them for a LOGICAL FALLACY!
That brings us to INTELLIGENT DESIGN! I have as little respect for Right-Wing Purists, who claim they believe every word in the Bible as I do for those Church Leaders, who use the Bible to pad their Incomes and fill their own coffers to the brim.
But in their IGNORANCE, these Morons have hit on a Truth: INTELLIGENT DESIGN! I do not suggest we teach that in Public or Private Schools, but I cannot prevent them from teaching it in their own Private or Church Schools, nor would I if I could. And I’m certain those teachings will qualify those Church School students for jobs in the 15th century!
However, I do object to teaching INTELLIGENT DESIGN in Public Schools because teaching it teaches NOTHING! If you wrote a Cookbook with instructions to go to Sara Lee, Entenmann’s, Marie Callender’s or some other finished product off the shelves that merely requires opening the package or warming before eating, you have written neither a Cookbook nor a Recipe Book; you have written Advertisements! Saying that God did this and God did that and God will look after us all is not only uninformative, it creates lazy, good-for-nothings that Mitt Romney would be justified in critiquing as the heart and soul of his “47%”!
Tabacco cannot believe this world with all its fits and realities could come from sheer “luck” or “probability” without INTELLEGENT THOUGHT!
Animals breathe in oxygen and breathe out carbon dioxide. Plants absorb carbon dioxide and give off oxygen. Wasn’t that lucky!
Fortuitously, fish and shellfish can breathe oxygen under water, given off by aquatic plant life. Wasn’t that lucky!
Planets, stars, asteroids and other heavenly bodies exert what we call gravitational pull instead of like poles in magnets, which repel each other. Wasn’t that lucky!
So even though I abhor these MORONS on the RIGHT, I must grudgingly give some Brownie Points to them for getting the concept of INTELLIGENT DESIGN correctly, even if they have overdone, overemphasized and over-the-topped it to death. After all,
“Even a broken clock is correct
twice a day!”
For those unfamiliar with Deductive or Syllogistic Reasoning, I refute Atheists’ LOGIC and its VALIDITY, not the Truth of their Conclusion. It is possible to arrive at a Truth even though your Logic is DEAD WRONG!
I cannot honestly disprove the Atheists’ Conclusion (even though it is INVALID), although I do believe that it is as FALSE as their Syllogism is INVALID.
“My brother never used drugs!” Only a Siamese twin has the ghost of a chance to make that assertion credible. One must be with one’s brother 24/7 for his entire life to be a credible witness for that assertion. If not, then it’s just an OPINION, not a valid witness statement.
There are valid exceptions to that Axiom. Alibis are given to verify that a suspect or trial defendant was somewhere else other than the crime scene at the time the crime occurred. Of course there are such things as LYING WITNESSES!
The Axiom is not always correct, but generally it is. So Atheists have their work cut out for them:
“There is no God!”
– OK, Atheists, this is your chance to save Atheism! Give it your best shot!
Take a gander at that 3-cent postage from 1954! 2012’s 44-cent stamp is almost 15 times the 1954 price.
If you have $3-million lying around, that won’t be enough to get a winning bid – trust me!
LONDON (AP) — A letter in which Albert Einstein dismissed the idea of God as a product of human weakness is being sold on eBay for a starting price of $3 million.
The letter, handwritten in 1954, a year before Einstein’s death, was addressed to philosopher Eric Gutkind. In it, Einstein discussed his views on religion, including calling “the Bible a collection of honorable but still primitive legends which are nevertheless pretty childish.”
An anonymous collector who bought the letter in 2008 is putting it on sale on online auction site eBay from Monday. The auction closes Oct. 18.
Eric Gazin, a spokesman for the sale, said Sunday: “With the interest in Einstein, along with the questions this (letter) touches on, we feel it is well worth the price.”
TABACCO: Sorry, folks, but those TV clips and the Article above do NOT give the whole story, and like most News Reports have skewed the Truth until it is basically a LIE!
But I kept on Researching and found the

Good Without God: Einstein’s “God Letter” Goes on the Auction Block
On January 3, 1954, a year before his death, Einstein tried to explain his belief system in a letter to Jewish philosopher Eric B. Gutkind. Einstein was responding to Gutkind’s book, Choose Life: The Biblical Call to Revolt. Writing candidly about his denial of the Jews’ chosen status, Einstein said:
“For me the Jewish religion like all other religions is an incarnation of the most childish superstitions. And the Jewish people to whom I gladly belong and with whose mentality I have a deep affinity have no different quality for me than all other people. As far as my experience goes, they are also no better than other human groups, although they are protected from the worst cancers by a lack of power. Otherwise I cannot see anything ‘chosen’ about them.”
And speaking of God, Einstein wrote to Gutkind, God is:
“nothing more than the expression and product of human weaknesses, the Bible a collection of honorable, but still primitive legends which are nevertheless pretty childish.”
On October 8, the famed letter handwritten by Albert Einstein went on the auction block—and within ten minutes, an anonymous bidder had placed the first offer at the opening price of $3 million. Auction Cause, the agency which, listed the letter on eBay, hailed the letter as “the nexus of science, theology, reason and culture.”
But wait a minute! Einstein was NOT, as some have claimed, an atheist. Rather, he described himself as “agnostic”—insisting that “an attitude of humility” was preferable to positive atheism. Einstein biographer Walter Isaacson explained that the scientist spoke more harshly about disbelievers than about the faithful. He wrote in a letter:
The fanatical atheists…are like slaves who are still feeling the weight of their chains which they have thrown off after hard struggle. They are creatures who—in their grudge against the traditional ‘opium of the people’—cannot bear the music of the spheres.
In a 1930 interview which was published in G. S. Viereck’s book, Glimpses of the Great, Einstein acknowledged the limits of human understanding, and held out the possibility that he may not understand everything:
Your question [about God] is the most difficult in the world. It is not a question I can answer simply with yes or no. I am not an Atheist. I do not know if I can define myself as a Pantheist. The problem involved is too vast for our limited minds. May I not reply with a parable? The human mind, no matter how highly trained, cannot grasp the universe. We are in the position of a little child, entering a huge library whose walls are covered to the ceiling with books in many different tongues. The child knows that someone must have written those books. It does not know who or how. It does not understand the languages in which they are written. The child notes a definite plan in the arrangement of the books, a mysterious order, which it does not comprehend, but only dimly suspects. That, it seems to me, is the attitude of the human mind, even the greatest and most cultured, toward God. We see a universe marvelously arranged, obeying certain laws, but we understand the laws only dimly. Our limited minds cannot grasp the mysterious force that sways the constellations.

TABACCO: Thank God!
This case is a near-perfect Example of how clever, deceptive withholding of important, relevant information can turn a molehill into a Mountain, the Truth into Misinformation and Good into Bad or vice-versa. One more Example of Why CAPITALISM is so DANGEROUS!
Often in these times the only way to get the Truth is from the Blogging Community! Even then you must be selective!
You must always consider the source, particularly when that Source has a vested financial interest.
Tabacco: I consider myself both a funnel and a filter. I funnel information, not readily available on the Mass Media, which is ignored and/or suppressed. I filter out the irrelevancies and trivialities to save both the time and effort of my Readers and bring consternation to the enemies of Truth & Fairness! When you read Tabacco, if you don’t learn something NEW, I’ve wasted your time.
